Manchester United Community Shield hero Zlatan Ibrahimovic has spoken of his desire to win more trophies at Old Trafford.
The 34-year old scored the winner as United defeated Leicester City 2-1 in the Community Shield on Sunday, making it the 31st trophy in his hugely successful career and the former PSG striker says he is hungry to win more laurels.
“This is my 31st trophy, collective trophy, and I’m super happy. This is why I came and hopefully I can win much more than this. It’s a good start,” he said after the game.
“It was a difficult game, we play against a good team, the champions from last season. Our team has something big going on, it’s a good start.
“I feel very good. The team is fantastic, good team-mates, good spirit, good professional players and the coach – he wants to win and does everything to win.
“The club outside the team is probably the biggest club I’ve played in. Only one I can compare with is Milan. I’m very honoured and proud to be here.”
Ibrahimovic joined United on a free from PSG this summer and has already set tongues waging on what to expect having already scored two goals in the two games he has played for the club.
United begin their Premier League campaign away to Bournemouth and the Swede is expected to lead the line for them as they aim to return to the pinnacle of English and European football.
