Egyptian giants Al Ahly have completed the signing of Nigeria Olympic team striker, Junior Ajayi.
The eight-time African champions have signed the striker on a four-year deal from Tunisian club CS Sfxien, the club announced on Friday.
The 20-year old only joined Sfaxien from Shooting Stars on a three year contract last year, after impressing with the Nigeria U23s during the qualifiers for both the All Africa Games and the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
And after weeks of reports linking him with the Egyptian club, he has now signed for them.
A statement on the club’s website reads: “Ahli officially ended the Nigerian striker Junior Ajayi’s contract with Tunisian club CS Sfaxien, and have signed him for four years to join the squad during the ongoing summer transfer window.”
Ajayi is currently in Brazil with the Nigeria Olympic Games squad and will team up with Ahly afterwards.
