Winning debut for Peter Odemwingie

Odemwingie certainly made a good first impression, making his debut as a substitute when coming on in place of Jonathan Kodjia against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

With Bristol City trailing 1-0 at half time, head coach Lee Johnson decided to introduce Odemwingie and within minutes he was close to scoring a debut goal
Fulham took the lead through McCormack in the second minute and  Marlon Pack equalized for Bristol City in the 69th minute.
Lee Tomlin scored a stunning 90th minute free kick to help Bristol City move four points clear of the relegation zone and leave Fulham just one point above the relegation zone.
Speaking after the match, Head coach Johnson said: "I'm proud of the club today. I'm proud that the players were able to fight back like that and show tremendous character and spirit, I was proud that we were able to take so many fans to the game and I was proud that we were able to get in a player of Peter Odemwingie's quality.
"I felt we were a bit flat in the first half and after 30 minutes it was difficult to see how we were going to get a foothold in the game. Having that extra man in midfield helped in the second half and I thought Bobby (Reid) had a great game.
"Odemwingie just gives us that bit of quality and knowhow and I thought he played the right ball at the right time and could even have ended up with a goal.
