Nigerian Premier Football League side Plateau United have announced the death of one of their players, Simon Shehu. Shehu’s death was reportedly confirmed by the club’s general manager, Pius Senwan, who revealed that Shehu had passed on Sunday morning on his way to Kaduna. Shehu was reportedly traveling to prepare for his upcoming wedding.
Shehu was playing his third season for Plateau United, and was a part of the team that won promotion to the NPFL last season.
