For the first time in four years, Barcelona star Lionel Messi will not feature on the cover of the latest edition of FIFA.
Instead, the new cover will feature Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez, Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, Manchester United striker Anthony Martial and Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus.
EA Sports released the trailer for the new game, which is set to be out by the end of September, with Jose Mourinho narrating a promise for a totally new FIFA experience.
It should be a new take on the FIFA franchise if mechanics are anything to go by, since FIFA 17 will see the game switch from the Ignite engine to Frostbite which is the same one used by games like Battlefield, Star Wars Battlefront, Dragon Age and others.
Executive producer David Rutter said: "Frostbite delivers authentic, true-to-life action, takes players to new football worlds, and introduces fans to characters full of depth and emotion."
"Frostbite unlocks a whole new world of possibilities for the FIFA franchise and its fans.
"We have never been as excited as we are today about the future of football and the experiences we are going to deliver in FIFA 17."
The game will be launched with a deluxe edition that comes with FIFA Ultimate Team bonuses such as premium gold packs.
