Ahmed Musa scores his goal number 14 of the season as his club CSKA Moscow close in on title win.
Nigeria international Ahmed Musa scored his 14th goal this season as CSKA moved closer to reclaiming the Russian championship following a 2-0 home win over Krasnoder.
CSKA now have 62 points from 29 matches and will need only a draw in their final game of the season at Rubin Kazan on Saturday to beat off the challenge of second-placed Rostov, who have 60 points.
Ahmed Musa told AfricanFootball.com the target is to win the league championship.
"Winning the league is my target, and we are getting there,” he said.
“I am happy to score in this game but happier that we won the game because the three points is the most important thing for the team."
The Jos-born star scored against Krasnoder in the 17th minute to give the army team a 1-0 lead.
He has now scored 13 goals in the league and one in the cup
