Nigerian champions Enyimba are now $400,000 richer following their qualification into the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
Each club that qualified for the group phase of Africa's elite club competition will receive the amount from CAF as reward for their progress.
The Peoples Elephant squandered a three-goal first leg advantage, going down to a 3-0 defeat against the Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel at the Olympic Stadium in Sousse, but won the tie 4-3 on penalties courtesy of goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai's heroics who saved three of the spot kicks.
The Aba giants last played in the group phase of the competition in 2011 and are guaranteed more money depending on their performance in the next round.
They however face a difficult battle ahead in their bid to win a third African title with top quality opposition like Al Ahly of Egypt and Wydad Casablanca of Morocco still in the competition.
Enyimba won the competition back to back in 2003 and 2004.
