Super Falcons of Nigeria’s legendary ex-player and coach of Clemensnäs IF of Swedish Women’s Football Division 2, Perpetua Ijeoma Nkwocha, tied the knot with her fiancé, Ernest Ikechukwu Nwufoh.
She got married in Owerri yesterday, Monday March 28. The two couples met in Calabar years ago when she was still playing for Pelican stars of Calabar, and Mr Ernest told Soccer60.com that he approached her during half time of a league match.
The elegant striker, made her debut for Nigeria in a friendly with Ghana’s Black Queens in Lagos in May 1999, played a total of 101 times for Nigeria, scoring 80 goals.

During her playing days, she won the Africa Womens Championship a record five times in 2002,2004,2006,2010 and 2014. She scored four goals in the final against Cameroon in 2004 to help her country win the title
She won the golden boot which is meant for highest goal scorer at the African Women Championship in 2004, 2006 and 2010
Nkwocha also participated in four FIFA Women's World cup (2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015) and also three Olympic football tournaments in Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008
She also played 139 times (from 2007- 2014) for her Swedish club side Sunnanå SK scoring 65 goals.
She is presently the coach of Swedish side Clemensnäs IF in the Swedish League.
