Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala, failed to score in her second official game for Arsenal Ladies as they lost to Manchester City Ladies 2-0 at the Manchester Academy Stadium on Monday, reports www.soccer60.com.
The lanky striker who scored on her debut last week against Reading, was given a well deserved starting place by coach Pedro Losa.
Arsenal Ladies start well and missed a couple of goal scoring chances. In the 12th minute Arsenal Ladies defender Jemma Rose was shown a straight red card.
That incident reduced the attacking strength of Arsenal Ladies as they resorted to defending for most part of the game.
In the 75th minutes Jane Ross opened scoring while Toni Duggan completed the rout in the 78th minutes from the penalty spot.
Manchester City Ladies are early leaders in the WSL, while Arsenal Ladies are in fourth position.
The match between Chelsea Ladies and Liverpool Ladies was postponed.
