Former Sunshine Stars and Sharks coach Ogunbote quit Jos club Giwa after they were expelled from the league for staying away from three matches.

Ogunbote, who tinkered ‘The Oluyole Warriors’ last season for them to retain their premiership status is back to rescue the team, who are second from bottom of the table halfway through the campaign.
"Coach Gbenga (Ogunbote) has returned to Shooting Stars as the TA, while coach Lawal Abimbola Abidemi is the first assistant and Agoye (Edith) is the second assistant.
Ogubote was picked from four high-profile managers, including Okey Emordi and Zachary Baraje.
“Yes, we’ve appointed Gbenga Ogunbote as our new coach,” Shooting Stars spokesman, Jubrin Arowolo, confirmed to soccer120.com
“As we speak now, I’m standing right behind him as he addresses the players at our training ground.”
Shooting Stars currently occupy the 18th place in the NPFL table.
