Nigeria lose to Denmark 6-2 in Suwon Tourney


Nigeria's dream team VI suffered a second sucessive defeat at the Suwon International Tournament in Korea after being white washed 6-2 by Denmark.
In the ninth minute, goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel came to the rescue for Nigeria when he kept out a penalty by Nicolai Brock-Madsen.
Denmark got their opener in the 26th minute after Erhun Obanor scored against his team from a cross.

Emil Larsen doubled Denmark's lead after he fired home in the 34th minute. Larsen extended their lead four minutes later and he completed his hat-trick nine minutes after the re-start.
Patrick Da Silva scored a fifth goal for Denmark in the 62nd minute, before Emiliano Marcondes completed the rout with a sixth goal on 75 minutes.

Substitute Abdulrahman Taiwo netted two consolation goals for Nigeria late in the game to give the scoreline some respectability.

Nigeria was punished for poor finishing with Liverpool loanee Taiwo Awoniyi the worst offender.

In the 13th minute, Awoniyi's header sailed narrowly over the bar and was then denied a goal with a last-minute clearance onon the 18 minute.
