Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea release clause will expire on Wednesday, meaning Real Madrid are running out of time to sign the goalkeeper.
David de Gea penned a new four-year deal with the Red Devils at the start of last season after a deadline day move to the Bernabeu collapsed.
However, this has not appeared to deter Real Madrid, as De Gea continues to be linked with a switch to La Liga, with suggestions his contract includes a buyout clause.
According to the Times, a ‘special exit clause’ expires this week - meaning Real will be forced to act or risk missing out on the man they have been desperate to land since identifying him as Iker Casillas’ natural successor.
