Manchester City have sealed a £40m swoop for Schalke wonderkid Leroy Sane according to TheSun The Germany international, 20, is expected to join Pep Guardiola’s when he returns from Euro 2016 duty with Germany.
City have been trying seal a deal for the highly-rated youngster since the start of the year – having watched him since last season.
Sane looks to be Guardiola’s second signing of the summer after snapping-up Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
They also looks to be closing in on the signing of Athletic Bilbao centre-back Aymeric Laporte as they try and bolster their defensive options.
Sane has scored 13 times for Schalke and made 55 appearances since breaking through their academy in 2014. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United were all also interested in signing the talented teenager.
