Former Super Eagles players Kanu Nwankwo and Sunday Oliseh have joined millions of prominent names to commend Leicester City following their emergence as the new Champions of England.
Leicester City became champions of the 2015/16 EPL season following the inability of their closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur to secure maximum points against Chelsea in Monday’s 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Kanu, a Premier League title champion in 2004 with Arsenal took to twitter to congratulate the Foxes on their league title triumph.
Using his @papilokanu handle, Kanu wrote; “Congratulations Leicester. A lot to learn from them.”

For former Super Eagles head Coach, Sunday Oliseh, Leicester has impacted the World of Football like no one ever imagined. Leicester was playing in the second division only two years ago, came close to be relegated again last year, and started this season as a 5,000-1 outsider for the title.
Now, for the first time in its 132-year history, Leicester is champion of England.
With two matches to go in the 2015/2016 English Premier League season, Leicester stands at the summit of the table with 77 points while closes rival, Tottenham Hotspur seats at the second position with 70 points.
