Giwa Fc did not travel for their Match Day 14 tie against Wikki Tourist which was slated for Illorin after the Jos sided were banished to play the next 3 home games at the Kwara State Stadium, Illorin.
A source said the Giwa side did not travel as the Proprietor of the Side Chris Giwa ordered them not to as the league body hasn't communicated to them officially of the breach of rules.
The LMC rules states that “if a club fails to honour three consecutive matches without an acceptable reason, such a club shall be expelled from the league and its matches played and un-played shall be cancelled”
Ocean boys of Bayelsa state experienced this in 2012 when Ocean Boys failed to honor four consecutive matches in the league blaming lack of funds for their decision.
The implication of that decision in 2012 caused Rangers the league title as all points Rangers got from Ocean Boys was subtracted paving way for eventual winners Kano Pillars.The LMC are yet to issue a statement.
