Head coach of the Nigeria U-17 national team, Manu Garba is presently in Akwa Ibom state scouting for players to build the next U-17 team of Nigeria.
Manu Garba arrived Uyo on a three day scouting mission alongside some of his trusted allies to scout for players his third scouting mission since taking over the U-17 job for the second time.
The coach will however not visit Lagos as speculated by some media outlets instead will rely on scouting mission due to the cosmopolitan nature of the state.
His mission in Akwa Ibom state will be concluded on Wednesday unless there’s an extension to his plans in the state.
Samuel Okon one of the players who played under Manu Garba at the U-17 World cup in 2013 when Nigeria emerged champions is an indigene of Akwa Ibom State.
