Daley Blind went off injured and was replaced by Ecuador winger Antonio Valencia and Everton looked to capitalise. The Toffees nearly got the equalizer but Phil Jagielka’s shot from inside the box was superbly saved by de Gea to hand the Red Devils a vital win on a memorable day.
