Liverpool to take two Nigerians on trial

Jacob Njoku is Liverpool bound

Jacob Njoku will undergo a trial at Liverpool next month when his contract expires at Al Orooba, according to the Nigerian youngster’s agent.
The 18-year-old will be joined by compatriot Chidera Ejike, who is also heading to the Reds after Manchester City turned down the chance to take him on trial.
“Jacob Njoku will travel to the United Kingdom next month along with Chidera Ejike for trials with Liverpool,” his agent Babawo Mohammed told website Soccer60.com.
“He is with Al Orooba and his contract will expire next month, so he is traveling after his contract expires.”
Mohammed said yesterday on Ejike: “We waited for Manchester City and they did not get back to us. He is going to Liverpool next month for trials.”
Unlike the move for Matip, which had a bit of a slow burn build up, and the chase for Feghouli, which looks destined to be a bitter battle between multiple European clubs, these signings will come as a pleasant surprise for most Liverpool fans. And rightly so, with neither of these players out of their teens, yet,
Having only represented Nigeria at youth level, neither of these players have too much material out there to get your amateur scouting on with.
Still, though, Liverpool seem to be on a bit of a free transfer roll these days, and the club most certainly know what they're doing when it comes to scouting promising young attackers to bring in to the youth academy and reserve fold. Here's hoping Ejike and Njoku success
