Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is being linked with a move to Juventus, according to reports in Italy.
The City star faces an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium with the midfielder yet to be told if he features in Pep Guardiola’s plans.
The Ivory Coast star was sold to City back in 2010 for a fee of £24million, with then-Barcelona boss Guardiola deciding that the midfielder did not fit into his vision at the Nou Camp.
Toure has been an enormous success in his five and a half seasons at the Etihad Stadium, but his star is said to be on the wane with the four-time African Footballer of the Year finishing runner-up behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in this year’s vote.
However, speaking in January, Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk revealed that the midfielder wanted to remain at City.
He said: “I don’t know what Guardiola’s plans are, but – after what happened at Barcelona – of course it is a worry that when he comes Yaya will be out.
“I hope not and Yaya hopes not.”
Toure has already been linked with a move to be reunited with former City boss Roberto Mancini at Inter Milan, and is regularly mentioned as a target for the cash-rich Chinese Super League, while other reports suggest the player would consider signing for a Premier League rival should be be shown the door at City.
However, Tuttosport have said that Juventus are also keen on signing the Ivorian – and they suggest Max Allegri’s side could land their man for just €6million.
Claims that Juventus want to sign Toure, will likely add fuel to the fire that they are making contingency plans for the possible sale of star midfielder Paul Pogba.
