Bordeaux defeats Bastia in Coach Ulrich Rame first match

Axel Ngando's 84th-minute equaliser earned SC Bastia a 1-1 draw away to Girondins de Bordeaux on Sunday as Ulrich Ramé was left frustrated on his coaching debut.

Bordeaux had looked set to come away with a precious victory when Diego Contento put them ahead with just eight minutes left at the Matmut Atlantique, but Ngando levelled just two minutes later to ensure a share of the spoils.
It was not the start Ramé was looking for as the club goalkeeping legend made his debut in the dugout after replacing the sacked Willy Sagnol earlier in the week. Bordeaux are now five games without a win and remain too close to the relegation zone for comfort, with just six points separating them from third-bottom Stade de Reims, while Bastia are a point better off and have themselves gone four matches without tasting victory.
Changes
Bordeaux are enduring their worst campaign in two decades and were leaking goals in the final weeks of Sagnol's reign at the helm of the six-time champions. Ramé, perhaps unsurprisingly, made eight changes to the team hammered 4-0 in the Garonne derby at Toulouse FC last time out, including handing a recall in goal to Jérôme Prior and a first start since October to the young Serbian defender Milan Gajic.

Contento also returned to the team and he looked to have made himself the hero when he put Bordeaux in front in the 82nd minute. A corner from the home right was headed out by Julian Palmieri, but the ball fell to Contento 35 yards out and his low left-foot volley passed through a crowd of players as it found the bottom corner of the net.
Nevertheless, the defensive frailties that had so frequently cost Bordeaux under Sagnol were exposed as Bastia came roaring back. Prior saved well from Floyd Ayité but allowed a Gaël Danic ball from the left to float over his head and Ngando took full advantage to head home
