Seventeen players have so far reported to the Nigeria league All-Stars training camp in Abuja with notable stars being Pillars pair of Ifeanyi Matthew and Rabiu Ali, while goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa did not train as he is nursing a knock.
Niger Tornadoes defender Gabriel Wassa also missed training as he was away trying to work on his international passport, officials said.
The All-Stars had their first training Tuesday evening inside the mainbowl of the Abuja National Stadium under the watchful eyes of coach Salisu Yusuf with Ike Shorunmu the goalkeeper trainer.
Jamiu Alimi (Pillars), Charles Henlong, Alhassan Ibrahim ‘Muazam’ (Wikki), Ismiala Gata (IfeanyiUbah), Ifeanyi Ifeanyi (MFM), Austin Oborakpo (Abia warriors), Kelechi John (Plateau United), and Okiemute Odah (Lobi Stars) were among the players who trained on Tuesday.
The team are to train again in the morning.
