William Troost-Ekong has spoken of his delight at the Super Eagles 3-1 win over Luxembourg in which he was handed his second straight start by Super Eagles interim boss Salisu Yusuf.
The Gent loanee paired Chelsea starlet Kenneth Omeruo at central defense and impressed once again for the national team, with Chippa United goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi not conceding until the 88th minute after he subbed out.
Troost-Ekong has been linked with possible moves to Rosenborg, Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace amongst others on the back of his displays for Haugesund in the Norwegian top division.
Just recently, the 22-year-old was included in a ceremonial Scandinavian XI for the 2016 season.
🇳🇬 Great win against Luxembourg. Always a proud moment wearing the green and white with my brothers. @NGSuperEagles pic.twitter.com/oDoyOa1QuW— William Troost-Ekong (@wtroostekong) June 1, 2016
