MFM FC coach Fidelis Ilechukwu was delighted with his side's performance in their 2-0 victory over Nasarawa United at the Agege Stadium on Wednesday.
Sikiru Olatunbosun's first-half brace took the capital club to sixth place in the Nigeria Professional Football League, as they continue their fairytale run after gaining promotion to the top flight last season.
"I'm very, very happy. It's great. Not just for me, but for the players, fans and management as well," Ilechuku said after the match. Nasarawa United was a great team."
Meanwhile, United coach Kabir Dogo insisted that their long trip to Lagos for the game might have been a factor in the defeat.
"I'll say my players were a little fatigued because we got into Lagos last night," Dogo said. "We spent almost two days on the road, but MFM were in great form today."
