Five-time world player of the year Lionel Messi has described Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan as ‘one of the greatest goal scorers’.
Messi, who is widely regarded as the best active player and one of the finest in the history of the game, expressed his admiration for Gyan’s scoring prowess.
“I Like his hard work and dedication to his national team and his clubs,” Messi told 90 Minutes Extra.
“I watch him play several times and I really like the goal he scored against Germany in Brazil [in the 2014 World Cup].
“I might say that, he is one of the greatest goal scorers I have ever seen.”
Gyan is regarded as the Ghanaian national team’s greatest striker, having netted 48 goals in his long career with the Black Stars.
