Former Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Kano Pillars, could face sanctions from the League Management Company (LMC), following the violent conduct of their supporters during and after a 2-1 home defeat to Enyimba.
They threw objects onto the pitch, immediately after Nzube Anaezemba equalized following Rabiu Ali’s opener.
Police tried to contain the mayhem by firing teargas to disperse the crowd.
However, things got out of hand after the game, with the Pillars fans attacking Enyimba’s team bus. The driver sustained injuries, after he was hit with an object.
The LMC recently banished Giwa FC to Ilorin and slapped a heavy fine on them, following the crowd trouble that interruped their Match Day 12 fixture against Enugu Rangers at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos.
