Petr Cech may return against Watford

Petr Cech is confident he will be able to make his return from injury in Arsenal’s clash with Watford on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Cech, who has kept 15 clean sheets this season, has not appeared for Arsenal since the 2-1 defeat to Swansea on March 2 due to a calf injury.
But the 33-year-old expects to make his comeback at the weekend, as Watford aim to repeat their shock FA Cup quarter-final victory at the Emirates.
“I should be fine after the national team break,” he told Czech publication MF Dnes.
“It’s nothing serious. I’m still motivated and excited for each training [session].”
The former Chelsea stopper also missed the Czech Republic’s friendlies against Scotland and Sweden, and admits he will consider his international future after Euro 2016.
“The less I have to travel around and play for the national team, the higher the probability that I’ll be able to retain my focus at Arsenal. After all, I’m not getting any younger,” he added.
“I feel on top for physically, but it’s been the same things all over again since 2002. Way too much travelling around and barely any time for rest.
“You eventually reach a point in your career when it becomes time to come to a halt and choose a new direction. That point will come after the Euros.”
